Michael Bublé’s LIVE! Caught in the Act Returns as the Definitive Portrait of a Rising Star

The 2026 edition of LIVE! Caught in the Act presents, for the first time, the complete 100-minute concert from Michael Bublé’s 2005 performance at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles. It captures an artist in constant motion, winning over audiences one show at a time with warmth, humour and unwavering commitment. Twenty years later, this full-length release stands as the essential live portrait of early-career Bublé, capturing the gratitude, ambition and pure love of entertaining that radiated from the stage. Since his 2003 debut, Bublé has sold more than 75 million albums worldwide, won five Grammy Awards and 15 Juno Awards, and delivered global favourites including It’s Time, Call Me Irresponsible, Crazy Love and the multi-platinum holiday classic Christmas.

Glenn Miller and the Army Air Force Band: Swing Goes to War — Part 1

Duke-Ellington.webp

In this first part, we turn the spotlight on Glenn Miller, the bandleader whose orchestra became one of the defining sounds of the swing era. Formed in 1938, the Glenn Miller Orchestra quickly won audiences with its smooth, unmistakable style — built around clarinet-led melodies, rich saxophone harmonies and precise arrangements. With hits such as “In the Mood,” “Moonlight Serenade,” “Tuxedo Junction” and “Chattanooga Choo Choo,” Miller’s music became part of everyday life for millions.

But Miller’s story did not stop with dance halls and hit records. During the Second World War, he left behind commercial success to serve, forming and leading the Army Air Force Band. This remarkable wartime orchestra carried the spirit of swing to service personnel at home and overseas, blending entertainment, morale and musicianship in a way that made the music both popular and powerful. Tonight, in Part 1, we begin that journey — from the famous Miller sound to the military band that helped carry it into history.

The Man Who Put the Rainbow into Song

Tonight, we celebrate E. Y. “Yip” Harburg, one of America’s great lyricists and librettists — a writer whose words helped define the sound of stage and screen. Best remembered for the timeless songs of The Wizard of Oz, including “Over the Rainbow,” Harburg also gave voice to the hardship and hope of a generation with “Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?” His lyrics combined wit, warmth and social conscience, turning popular songs into lasting stories. From Broadway to Hollywood, Harburg’s work continues to remind us that a great lyric can lift the heart, challenge the times and stay with us long after the music fades.

Fats Waller

The Stride Piano Genius Who Helped Shape Modern Jazz

Fats Waller was one of the most influential jazz musicians of his era — a brilliant pianist, organist, composer and singer whose mastery of Harlem stride piano helped lay the foundations for modern jazz. Best known for classics such as “Ain’t Misbehavin’” and “Honeysuckle Rose,” he combined virtuoso musicianship with irresistible charm and humour. A prolific songwriter, Waller copyrighted more than 400 songs, many written with lyricist Andy Razaf, and became one of the most popular international performers of the 1920s and 1930s. Though he died young at just 39, his music and style left a lasting mark on jazz history.
